Valentine's Day Celebrations

Valentine's Day brought us some fun and games!

Valentine Probability!  Grandma Lois helped us draw letters that  spelled Valentine and tallied them.  How many times will we have to draw to get all of the letters?  Lots more than 9!

We're making cute Love Bugs with a Valentine message.

Playing Bump is a favorite game.  We get to work on our addition and subtraction skills in a fun way with Sweet Bump Boards.

Using calculators is always fun.  We read some Valentine themed story problems and used our calculators to solve them.

Time to open our Valentines!  Our friends are the best!

100th Day of School

We started our day with a few 100th Day projects.  Thanks to Cody, Gaven, Blake, Isabella, Emma, and Lukas for all your hard work!

After lunch and recess, we had 5 stations that all had something to do with 100.

One station was writing The 100th Day News.

We rolled a die to see how many times it would take us to get to 100.

One of our favorite stations was making cup sculptures using 100 cups.

We counted 100 drops of water to see how that looked.  We were really surprised to see that it wasn't very much!

We made 100 pictures using the digits 1, 0, and 0.  They turned out pretty great!

Here we are being silly!
