Halloween

A Halloween listening activity starts our afternoon.

Our parents are preparing a ghost craft for us.  Mrs. Richards, Mrs. Pauley, Mrs. Ranson, and Mrs. King are ready to take over.

I see some ghostly shapes appearing, Meredith!

Our treat bags are filled with lots of fun.  Jaxton's balloon is huge!
After our crafts and fun with our treat bags we had our parade, and then it was time to go home.  It was a great day.

Halloween Math Morning

Halloween is such an exciting time for the students that Mrs. Kisner and I like to have a Math Morning.  The students in each of our classes rotate through math games that we've learned through Everyday Math and other places.  Then we switch classes.  This year our time was cut short so we only had 3 games per classroom but we still had lots of fun.  In our class we played Boo Top-It, Bump, and Turkey Track.  In Mrs. Kisner's class we played Spider Bingo, Ghostly Digits, and Beat the Wizard.  A special thanks goes out to the parent volunteers who helped in my room:  Mrs. Pauley, Mrs. Lord, and Mrs. Cunningham.  And as always, Grandma Lois is a wonderful helper in all that we do.

Mrs. Kisner, Mr. Kisner, and me!

Mrs. Kisner and I are ready to start the Halloween fun!

Mrs. Cunningham helps us play Turkey Track.

Supervising Bump is Mrs. Lord.

Mrs. Pauley helps us at Boo Top-It.

Grandma Lois joins the fun as she plays Boo Top-It with Adriana.

Pajama Read-A-Rama

Our class won the Box Tops contest so we decided to have a Pajama Read-A-Rama.  We dressed up in our pajamas and then we read all afternoon.  We had blankets and pillows so we were very comfortable.  We were also able to take some AR quizzes to get some extra points.

At the computers we take our AR quizzes.

A line formed at the computers because we read so many books.
